Webmail now with Rich Text Editing

We have implemented a feature on our Webmail that enables rich text "WYSIWYG*" editing when composing new messages.

This feature is designed to work for users with high-speed broadband connections. For dial-up users who might want to disable this function, the setting is on this web page:

and Uncheck "WYSIWYG editor when composing email". This feature requires Microsoft Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers to work and is not available when replying to messages.

Process Pending Email Advisory with a PDA

You can now process your pending emails on mobile devices (eg Treo 650). When you access the advisory we detect that it is from a small-formfactor device and you will receive a lightweight advisory web page designed to load quickly.

Webmail Automatic Lookup of email addresses

We have implemented a feature on our Webmail that automatically searches for addresses in your Whitelist as you type in the email address in the To, CC and BCC fields (see attached image). This will make addressing your emails much easier.

Backup mail server

We have installed a backup mail server which stores copies of all your current messages (24-36 hours). You can access this server http://backup.aliencamel.com if for some reason your Internet connection does not allow you to access the primary mail server. This can occur for many reasons eg Internet congestion, communications line failure between two parts of the Internet, and malicious attacks.

Password Protection

To ensure that your account is protected from hackers, if your password is entered wrong ten times in sixty minutes your account will be suspended for sixty minutes.

Process Pending Email Advisory via Email - New Feature

You can release non spam-ranked emails in your Pending folder by simply replying to the Pending Email Advisory.

Designed for PDAs like the PalmOne Treo 650 but also applicable for desktop email users, you can now release the "non-spam" ranked emails from your Pending Email Advisory without having to click on the Process button. Simply "reply" to the email and the non-spam ranked emails will be released and moved into your InBox.

How it works: Every Pending Email Advisory is coded with a special "reply-to" email address that has the message-ids of the non spam-ranked messages. When you reply to the email our server has the smarts to release those emails into your InBox. Of course this only works for messages in your account.

Webmail Search

We have added basic search functionality to our webmail interface.

On the bottom of the web page just enter a word or a phrase to select emails that contain the search term. You can search the From, To or Subject fields or the Body of the email.
