Setting up Apple Mail 2.0 on 10.4 (Tiger) for Macintosh.
The main settings are:
- Incoming IMAP or POP server: aliencamel.com
- Outgoing SMTP server: aliencamel.com
- Username: username@aliencamel.com
- Ensure that the SMTP username and password fields are entered. It is the same
as the POP or IMAP username and password.
- Start Mail. Select File/Add Account... from the toolbar.

- Select Account type IMAP.
In the field Full name
use the name and email address you want recipients to see
in the From field of your emails. You can set this to your
AlienCamel email address
or if you are forwarding emails from an existing email address you
can use that email address. Click Continue.

- Now enter the Incoming Mail Server settings.
Click Continue.

- Now enter the Outgoing Mail Server settings.
Click Continue.

- Check the Account Summary.
Click Continue and then Done on the Conclusion window.

- Select Mail/Preferences... from the menubar.

- Select Accounts.

- Select the account you just created - IMAP Account - and
click the Server Settings... button in the Outgoing Mail Server section.

- De-select the Use Secure Sockets Layer check box and select
MD5 Challenge-Response as the Authentication setting.
Click OK to continue.

- Select Mailbox Behaviors and use the recommended settings
below:

- Select Advanced and use the recommended settings
below - Uncheck SSL and select MD5 Challenge-Response as the
Authentication method:

- Select Junk Mail from the Preferences toolbar and uncheck
Enable junk mail filtering as this conflicts with the AlienCamel
spam filtering.

- Close the Preferences window. You're now ready to send and receive email with Aliencamel
