Setting up Outlook Express.
The main settings for any email client are:
- Incoming IMAP or POP server: aliencamel.com
- Outgoing SMTP server: aliencamel.com
- Username: username@aliencamel.com
- Ensure that the SMTP username and password fields are entered. It is the same
as the POP or IMAP username and password.
- Start Outlook
Express. If you have not set up any email accounts, you will see the screen below.
Click on Set up a Mail account.

- Otherwise, on the Tools
menu, click Accounts, then click the Mail tab.
Click the Add
button and select Mail from the list. The Internet Connection Wizard
will guide you through the process of setting up your email account.

- Enter your name
as you want it to appear in the From field on the messages you send.
Click Next to continue.

- Enter your Aliencamel
email address and then click Next.

- In the E-mail
Server Names window, enter the following values and then click Next:
- My incoming
mail server is a IMAP server.
- Incoming
IMAP mail server: imap.aliencamel.com
- Incoming
POP mail server (not recommended): pop.aliencamel.com
- Outgoing
mail (SMTP) server: smtp.aliencamel.com or if you prefer to use
your ISP's SMTP server for your outgoing mail, enter that here.
Important! If you want to send email to another aliencamel.com
email address, you must set your outgoing mail server as
aliencamel.com
- SMTP mail server port: 587

- In the Internet Mail Logon window, enter the following values:
- Account
name: your Aliencamel email address
- Password:
The password you entered during signup
- Remember
password: checked
This will keep Outlook Express from popping up its own password dialog box
each time you open the program.
- Log on
using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): unchecked
and then click Next.

- Click Finish to save your selections.

- If you are prompted
to download folders from the mail server, click Yes.

- You will then see a list of the folders, click OK

- Select the account
you just created and click the Properties button.

- Click on the Servers tab, and ensure the following
- Incoming
mail (IMAP): aliencamel.com
- Outgoing
mail (SMTP): aliencamel.com or your ISP's server.
Remember, to send emails to other aliencamel.com email address
you must set your Outgoing mail server to be aliencamel.com
- Account name: your full Aliencamel email address
- Password: your Aliencamel password
- Remember Password checked
- Log on using Secure Password Authentication unchecked
- My server requires authentication checked, if you have entered
aliencamel.com as your outgoing mail server
and then click OK. Click Close
to close the Internet Accounts dialog box.

- On the Tools menu, click Options. Click on the Maintenance Tab.
and ensure the first two check boxes are selected:
- Empty messages from the Deleted Items folder on exit checked
- Purge deleted messages when leaving IMAP folders checked
then click OK.

- You're now ready to send and receive email with Aliencamel
