When you receive an email from a person that is not on your whitelist or blacklist, it is stored in your Pending email folder. As this folder is where the majority of Spam will end up, we have developed a new technique for you to review all the emails in this folder and action them simply and quickly.

The Pending Email Advisory™.
Our Pending Email Advisory™ is a special email that summarizes all the emails in the Pending folder and ranks them by their likelihood of being Spam. This email allows you to control what the mail server does with the emails in the Pending folder.

You simply click on a series of buttons for each email to decide what to do with it.

The four actions are:

  • Whitelist. Add the sender to your Whitelist which means emails from this sender will be automatically downloaded into your Inbox in the future
  • It's Spam. Move the email to the Spam folder and learn the email as Spam in your Bayesian spam filter
  • Download. Download the email into your Inbox, but don't add the sender to your Whitelist
  • Delete. Delete the email, but don't categorize the email as Spam

We have done all the hard work in sorting and ranking the emails, so the 'default' action that we have pre-selected for each email is usually correct, so all you have to do is click the Process button at them bottom of the page.

In this example, the user has three emails from people not in his whitelist or blacklist. These emails are stored in his Pending folder on the Aliencamel mail server and summarized in this email.

The next section of the email describes the four actions that can be performed on emails in the Pending folder.

Emails that our Spam ranking system determines as not Spam defaults to the action Download and Add Sender to Whitelist, indicated by a white cross with a green background beside the selection button.

Our Spam ranking system will separate emails classified as Spam with a red divider sorted in descending order of "spamminess" with emails most likely to be Spam appearing at the end of the list.

Spam emails have a default action of Spam email - tell Aliencamel indicated by a white line with a red background. These emails will be moved to the Spam folder and classified as Spam by the Bayesian spam filter. screenshot

Clicking the Process button will result in the pending emails being processed according to the selected action. A confirmation web page summarizing the action taken is displayed.
