Setting up email software

To use the Sender Verified Email Service email software has to be configured to use the aliencamel.com servers for outbound SMTP in order that Alien Camel can sign the email before sending it on to the intended recipient.

In Outlook or Outlook Express select the Tools menu and then Accounts. Select the Account you use to send the email you wish to be signed and then click Properties, select the Servers tab and change the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field to aliencamel.com, then select the Advanced tab and change the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field to 2525. Click OK. Now emails from this account will be sent via the Alien Camel servers and be signed before delivery to the recipient.

Setting up email server software

To use the Sender Verified Email Service in conjunction with your own email server your email server has to be configured to relay all its outbound messages via the aliencamel servers in order that the relevant emails can be signed before delivery to the intended recipients. Emails that are not to be signed will NOT be delivered. The relay server address is aliencamel.com and if your ISP blocks port 25 you may set the port to 2525.
